Whenever there are emergency situations, leaders find this way as the best choice.
Disadvantages of Autocratic Decision Making
Along with advantages are some of the disadvantages of this kind of decision making. A particular disadvantage that this approach may provide is that the decisions are varied and there are times wherein the leader or the people responsible for the decision made would provide less effort that should be carried out with the decision made.
Aside from that, any person that is part of the group that has been creating the decision may get affected by the decision made. This is through the effects on the morale as well as the effort that they may have exerted towards the creation of the decision. Most of the time, the outcomes of this approach may be unpredictable. When the outcome of the decision is negative, there are times when members may feel that a better job can be done with their effort and may lead to the loss of credibility of the leader.
