ENTJ is one of the sixteen personality types as classified by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI. ENTJ is an acronym for extraversion, intuition, thinking and judging.
E is for Extraversion
People with ENTJ personality are outgoing. They rejoice their associations or camaraderie with others and would often be more interested in interactions with others than keeping to oneself. They like to be among people and they love to socialize.
N is for Intuition
A person with ENTJ personality will be intuitive, will look at the macro picture and would be drawn more by the abstract than the tangible.
T is for Thinking
The ‘T’ is thinking and that makes such a personality very objective. People with this personality will always give priority to facts, logic, rational or objective assessment. They would not focus on sentiments, emotions, personal preferences or biases, not even the slightest of perceptions.
J is for Judgment
This propels a person to be proactive and keen to plan their actions and routines. Such an attribute makes a person like predictability and the sense of being in control of situations.
Some of the most popular people with ENTJ personality type are Steve Jobs, Richard M. Nixon, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harrison Ford, Margaret Thatcher, Whoopi Goldberg, Steve Martin and Al Gore.
There are certain positive as well as negative ENTJ characteristics. People with this personality are very efficient. No matter what job they are in, they will get things done and possibly in record time. They are very energetic and confident about their own selves. They know their potential and are determined enough to pursue their goals or aspirations. They have the ability to think strategically and they also have a charismatic presence. They can inspire others with their confidence, ideas and enthusiasm.
Three of the most concerning ENTJ characteristics are stubborn, arrogance and intolerance. People with this personality are often arrogant and they can be too fixated with their opinion. That makes them dominant and unwilling to change. They are also rigid for this reason. Their intolerance can cost them relationships and even opportunities. They are also impatient and not very good with emotions. They can articulate their ideas very well but when it comes to speaking their heart or expressing love or any other emotion, they tend to meander and are often a miserable failure. ENTJ personality would also appear to be ruthless and cold.
