The ENTP personality loves to work on multiple projects all at once. This is true for their professional and personal responsibilities. They find multitasking comes very easily for them, which means they want a career which will allow them to stay active as much as possible while using their talents in a way that benefits everyone.
ENTPs do not like a career that does not allow them to use their talents. For that reason, here are the top career options that should be avoided.
1. Military Service.
Serving in the military allows for multitasking that the ENTP loves, but doesn’t allow them to use all of their talents all of the time. Their service is dictated based on the needs that are observed by commanding officers, which makes the ENTP feel like they are sometimes a square peg in a round hole. This creates dissatisfaction which is often outspoken, resulting in an experience that is less than enjoyable.
The ENTP loves to improvise. They hate trying to fit themselves within a specific system that demands a certain set of rules. They long to make changes on the fly based on their observations. That’s why any job that requires the precise following of blueprints or specific instructions on a regular basis is a bad career option for the ENTJ.
Although there are ENTPs that thrive as religious workers, most of them find that they are limited by the instructions of their religion to be successful. Breaking the rules to use their talents to buck the established system bring great joy to the ENTP. In some religions, bucking the system could bring eternal damnation.
The ENTP is an excellent entrepreneur, but they aren’t as excellent when it comes to keeping track of or implementing a budget. The repetitive tasks of making sure bills are paid or checking credit profiles of potential customers is a drain on the creativity of the ENTP and will eventually frustrate them to no end.
ENTPs thrive in a career field where they can be social, creative, and praised for changing the rules when it makes sense. That’s why the above careers are the ones that should be avoided at all costs.
