ESTJs will see almost any job through to its completion. Even when something becomes difficult to complete or seems boring to do, this personality type straps up their boots and gets the job done. As long as it it the right thing to do, the ESTJ will one day complete every task in some way. This trait also makes the ESTJ sometimes seem stubborn or inflexible when it comes to job tasks. Until facts are established, it’s all just opinion.
Here are some of the other ESTJ strengths and weakness to consider.
The Strengths of the ESTJ
1. They have a strong will.
ESTJs just don’t every give up. They will defend what they think is a good idea until their last breath if need be. If you want this personality type to change their mind, then bring the facts.
2. They are honest.
The ESTJ is almost honest to a fault. They are straightforward and blunt with their comments and expect the same in return. The goal isn’t to share opinions. The goal is to share facts. There is no offense in sharing real facts.
3. They are honorable.
ESTJs are one of those personalities that will always keep their word. They enjoy being seen as a pillar of reliability and this makes them an asset to their employer, their family, and themselves.
The Weaknesses of the ESTJ
4. They don’t like changing situations.
The ESTJ craves order and believes that the wheel should never be reinvented. They focus on tradition and known outcomes. If those are unable to provide a solution, then the ESTJ becomes very uncomfortable with what must be done.
5. They are quick to judge.
To the ESTJ, there are two ways to get things done: their way or the wrong way. This attitude applies to all aspects of life. There’s never two “right” ways to accomplish something. Because of their trait of honesty, the ESTJ won’t hesitate to let people know when they’re “wrong” too.
6. They don’t relax.
Appearances are everything to the ESTJ, so they never seem to take a moment off. They don’t ever want to be considered foolish or be caught in an undignified situation, so if they do something for fun, it’s usually on their own or with a trusted associate.
The ESTJ strengths and weaknesses may show a difficulty in expressing emotions, but there are strengths to off-set this. If you have a friend who is an ESTJ, then you’ll have a friend for life.
