Also known as doers, ESTPs are also known as Extraverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving individuals. There are some fascinating traits that define this group of people. Many of these traits can be found throughout the gender spectrum, meaning that both ESTP men and ESTP women can share many of the same traits. However, there are some interesting traits that are singular or largely defined within specific genders. It is also important to note that gender can strongly influence how certain ESTP personality traits are actualized.
ESTP Characteristics and Traits
You will note that someone who is an ESTP tends to be very popular, very clever, and extremely charming. Those who get to know them in a particularly intimate way may even describe them as sensual. Many would describe both ESTP males and ESTP females as very direct, to-the-point type of people. Conflict is not something that tends to give them a lot of problems, and they will generally welcome constructive criticism. The fact that they are at ease with conflicts makes them ideal to face a situation with a can-do attitude, clear-headedness, and plenty of good humor. Their enthusiasm can make them extremely popular with children, or with people who just like to have a good time.
On the flipside of things, an ESTP can struggle with empathy. They can also struggle to express their own feelings, which means they can occasionally just blurt things out, with little thought towards how it might make another person feel. They also struggle with commitments, and they can also get extremely bored very quickly.
ESTP Women And ESTP Men
An ESTP man might be someone who dated quite frequently in their youth. People will often be surprised or annoyed with how easily people were drawn to them. They will also be surprised if an ESTP man settles down, particularly if it seems to be something that happened out of nowhere. An ESTP man is frequently looked to by others for ideas for something fun to do for the weekend. He is also someone who will be great with his children, even if he doesn’t get to see them as frequently as he would like.
An ESTP woman might be someone who casually amassed a reputation for dressing how she wanted to, and for saying whatever was really on her mind. Her relationships with romantic partners, friends, and family can be frequently prone to communication problems, simply because she doesn’t always have the best ability to express something deeply personal to her.
