INTJ is one of the sixteen personality types as classified by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI. INTJ is an acronym for introversion, intuition, thinking and judging.
The ‘I’ is Introversion.
As opposed to extraversion, introversion implies that a person is more prone to stay quiet and to himself or herself. A person would be reserved, will have very few close friends and would confide in only one or two persons. Such a person will not have and will not want to have a large social circle.
The ‘N’ is Intuition.
A person with INTJ personality will be intuitive, will look at the macro picture and would be drawn more by the abstract than the tangible.
The ‘T’ is Thinking
Thinking makes such a personality very objective. People with this personality will always give priority to facts, logic, rational or objective assessment. They would not focus on sentiments, emotions, personal preferences or biases, not even the slightest of perceptions.
The ‘J’ is Judgment.
This propels a person to be proactive and keen to plan their actions and routines. Such an attribute makes a person like predictability and the sense of being in control of situations.
Some of the most popular people with INTJ personality type are John F. Kennedy, Vladimir Putin, Rudy Giuliani, Paul Krugman Donald Rumsfeld, Samantha Power, Colin Powell, Lance Armstrong, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Richard Gere, Thomas Jefferson, Woodrow Wilson, Hannibal and Augustus Caesar among others. INTJ personalities have been reflected in many popular fictional characters, namely “Walter White” in Breaking Bad, “Gandalf the Grey” in The Lord of the Rings, “Katniss Everdeen” in The Hunger Games, “Clarice Starling” in Silence of the Lambs and “Professor Moriarty” in Sherlock Holmes.
A person with an INTJ personality has a strategic but imaginative mind. One is a quick learner and would always explore any opportunity to learn more. Such people are usually curious all the time. Their sense of reality and rational approach to life makes them self confident. They are decisive and fiercely independent. While being open minded, they are also determined to do something if they believe in it or think it is right. They are hard working and often possess a plethora of skills.
An INTJ personality can be arrogant. Such a person is often judgmental, extremely analytical which can become a borderline case of being crazy and would dislike institutionalization. An INTJ person is often horrible in romantic relationships because they have no idea what they are supposed to do or say.
